Job Description
How you’ll make a difference
- You will spend the majority of your time on-site across South East Queensland project environments, engaging directly with project teams, contractors, and site leadership to identify and resolve hazards.
- Conduct inspections and audits, provide SHE compliance assurance, and support incident investigations, applying sound judgement rather than a purely procedural approach.
- Coach and influence supervisors and site leadership to uphold safety expectations and standards, building trust and credibility as a visible presence in the field.
- Provide clients and the business with confidence in safety oversight and control on the ground, acting as a project-focused contributor rather than a purely administrative role.
Qualifications

- Approximately 7 years SHE experience, with a strong hands-on construction component (approximately 50/50 site-based exposure), gained in construction, mining, and/or Oil & Gas sectors
- Demonstrated ability to operate confidently within a live construction environment, exercising sound on-site judgement and holding firm on safety matters where required
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher), current High-risk work licence(s), Working at Heights certification, and low-level auditing certification
- Proven experience in incident investigation, with ICAM training or background highly regarded, along with basic traffic management experience
- Local South East Queensland experience preferred; valid Australian work rights required
