With a strong pipeline of major project wins and long-term investment in our Water business, we're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer – Water Infrastructure to join our Rockhampton team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex and meaningful projects while advancing your career within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Our Water Infrastructure team partners with government, utility, industrial, defence and private sector clients to deliver innovative solutions across water and wastewater networks, treatment facilities, dams, major conveyance systems, asset management, and broader civil infrastructure. Sustainability, technical excellence, and community impact sit at the heart of everything we do.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll combine technical expertise, project delivery experience and client relationship skills to drive successful outcomes across a range of water and wastewater projects.
You will:
- Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from business development and tendering through to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning
- Manage project scope, quality, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project outcomes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support the preparation of winning proposals and tenders through sound project management and commercial insight
- Mentor and develop emerging engineers while continuing to expand your own technical and leadership capabilities
Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced and motivated engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions and building strong relationships.
Ideally, you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- CPEng and/or RPEQ accreditation
- Proven experience delivering detailed designs for potable water and wastewater networks
- Experience with wastewater treatment facilities (highly regarded)
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning
- Consultancy experience working across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels
