Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer I to be based in Orange, CA.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques
- Completes tasks requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.
- Focuses on estimating take-offs, conducting walk-downs for quantity tracking, reporting installed quantities, and performing field inspections to verify design compliance.
- Assists in the review of construction drawings and related technical documents to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Contributes to specific portions of broader assignments within established guidelines.
- Assist OEs with maintaining RFIs and Submittals logs.
- Assist OEs with distributing RFIs and Submittals response to Field personnel (inspectors) for accuracy/latest construction documents.
- Collaborate with OEs for the creation of documentation folders for CCOs processing/tracking/filing.
- Collaborate with OEs and Inspectors for the verification of Q-sheets/quantities for Pay Apps.
- Assist OEs/Office Administration with maintenance of Filing System in SANDAG’s Share Point.
- Assist OEs/Office Administration with maintenance of Filing System of Secondary Share Point (AECOM system).
- Collaborate with Project Administration tasks in the creation of weekly Construction Progress Owner’s meeting.
- Collaborate Project Administration task in the creation of weekly statement of working days.
- Conduct Field Inspection on as needed basis under the supervision of a seasoned inspector.

Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
