Job Description
As a result of significant project wins across the region and based on our growth strategy, AECOM’s Resources + Industrial (R+I) Team is looking for a passionate and highly driven Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer who is looking to further develop their career in leading power and energy projects. This role will enable us to continue to support our current external clients, whilst supporting new pursuits to further grow and sustain our team.
Typical types of engineering projects for our Industrial and Water customers involve high voltage and low voltage electrical distribution and reticulation systems as well as planning of electrical generation and distribution systems for open cut and underground mines.
Working with a high performing team, you will deliver projects for a diverse range of clients from Alcoa, South32 Worsley, Newmont, Goldfields and other industrial / infrastructure clients as well as Public Utility clients such as WA Water Corporation and others around Australia. As part of this role, you will deliver technical engineering deliverables as well as actively identify opportunities for developing new service offerings, and mentor and coach junior engineers.

How you’ll make a difference:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Industrial / Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time
- Demonstrated experience with working in multidisciplinary project teams
- Working knowledge of constructable designs as well as experience in operations and maintenance is desirable
- Passionate about developing yourself to be a future leader and initiator of our local strategy to grow the Industrial sector
- Enjoy working with people, with a passion to mentor and lead teams plus interact with customers
- 10+ years’ experience.
Your ability to mentor others, deliver on promise and building / maintain strong client relationships will be key to your success in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent)
- CPEng (desirable)
- Proven engineering / design experience within mining, local government or heavy industry sectors
- Exposure to the design and specification of industrial systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems and motor controls
- Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, reports and scope of works.
