The Director of Commercial Management will provide strategic and operational leadership across an operating unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and driving commercial success.

This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, overseeing project delivery, financial performance, client engagement, and talent development.

Key Requirements

• Contribute to and execute the company’s strategic direction, aligning operational goals with broader business objectives.

• Influence and communicate strategic priorities across the business to ensure alignment and buy-in.

• Anticipate market trends and adapt business strategies to maintain competitive advantage and profitability.

• Establish operational objectives and work plans; delegate responsibilities to subordinate managers and teams.

• Oversee project delivery throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, financial control, and client satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance (QA) standards and policies, and in accordance with internal project delivery governance.

• Develop and manage financial plans for the regional business unit.

• Accountable for full P&L performance, driving profitability and sustainable growth.

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future work to support long-term business objectives.

• Lead engagement with key clients, focusing on both new opportunities and existing relationships of strategic importance.

• Present project deliverables and benchmark data to clients, ensuring transparency and value delivery.

• Foster a high-performance culture through effective talent management, including identifying and developing key talent.

• Promote collaboration across regional and cross-functional teams.

• Lead by example in promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

• Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing P&L and delivering profitable growth.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.

• A minimum of 20 years post-undergraduate experience.

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and/or Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University.

• MRICS or equivalent accreditation.
