Job Description
The Director of Commercial Management will provide strategic and operational leadership across an operating unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and driving commercial success.
This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, overseeing project delivery, financial performance, client engagement, and talent development.
Key Requirements
Contribute to and execute the company’s strategic direction, aligning operational goals with broader business objectives.
Influence and communicate strategic priorities across the business to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Anticipate market trends and adapt business strategies to maintain competitive advantage and profitability.
Establish operational objectives and work plans; delegate responsibilities to subordinate managers and teams.
Oversee project delivery throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, financial control, and client satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance (QA) standards and policies, and in accordance with internal project delivery governance.
Develop and manage financial plans for the regional business unit.
Accountable for full P&L performance, driving profitability and sustainable growth.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future work to support long-term business objectives.
Lead engagement with key clients, focusing on both new opportunities and existing relationships of strategic importance.
Present project deliverables and benchmark data to clients, ensuring transparency and value delivery.
Foster a high-performance culture through effective talent management, including identifying and developing key talent.
Promote collaboration across regional and cross-functional teams.
Lead by example in promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing P&L and delivering profitable growth.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
A minimum of 20 years post-undergraduate experience.
Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and/or Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University.
MRICS or equivalent accreditation.
