Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Master Project Scheduler to support the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure programs within the DFW area. This role is responsible for establishing a program management methodology for years of high dollar projects.  This position works closely with the Directors and Construction Teams to ensure schedule integrity, quality, performance tracking, and timely project delivery.

This position will establish, deploy, a program controls solution and help build the program controls organization.  This role plays a key part in ensuring alignment across multidisciplinary teams, supporting informed decision-making through accurate reporting and schedule analytics.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, apply earned value principles, and support schedule-related coordination across multiple stakeholders and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a resource loaded Project Management Baseline to include costs.
  • Execute a month end performance exercise where schedule performance is integrated with finance for payments.
  • Maintain a high level, cost and time loaded 5 year program schedule for forecasting.
  • Ensure processes are in place to analysis whether the project is ahead or behind the planned schedule.
  • Continuously measure ongoing efficiency and performance in terms of project scope, time and cost using industry standard schedule health and quality metrics.
  • Interrogate data to identify problems, corrective actions and re-scheduling if required.           
  • Ensure that variance and trend analyses is documented and communicated through an appropriate change control process.
  • Display understanding of the role of performance measurement to produce a record of past performance, identify trends and forecast future performance in a manner that informs and drives management intervention.  
  • Support the project team in understanding performance measurement process and information. Design appropriate reporting formats for each of the performance measures.
  • Ensure that project reporting is in place that regularly communicates all current issues, future risks, potential opportunities and progress of projects to the client and the relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the change control process, establishing the necessary forms, logs and expediting methods. Produce reports to identify status within the change control process.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert in establishing a Program Management solution to maintain an Integrated Master Schedule, Project Management Baseline, and report EVMS is required.  
  • Expert use of MS Excel is a requirement and must be demonstrated.
  • Advanced use and experience of cost database products is desired (Oracle Fusion, Deltek Cobra, etc.) 
  • Advanced use and experience in Primavera P6 both in scheduling and administration is mandatory. 
  • Advanced use in Project reporting using KPIs, Excel, Deltek Acumen, Smartsheet software to be demonstrated. 
  • Familiarity with DCMA, DCAA, and ANSI-748 standards are desired.
  • Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior staff
