Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in New York, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Transportation, Infrastructure/Transmission market sector, state/local and industrial client sectors.
  • Particular focus will be leading projects in the New York City area.
  • The Position is based in New York with the opportunity to work remotely or at our New York City Offices.
  • Support natural resources field studies, surveys, impact assessment, and permitting.
  • Complete permitting, arboriculture studies and production of NEPA/SEQRA-related documents, and restoration of transmission and transportation projects required with particular focus in New York, New Jersey and New England states.
  • Remote work available within the New York City metropolitan area.
  • 5% domestic travel required.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field of study and 8 years of experience as a Civil Engineer or in a related occupation.

Employer will accept experience and skills gained through work experience or in pursuit of a university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internship experience managing one to two very complex projects. Skills may be gained concurrently.

Position requires the following:

  1. International Society of Arboriculture Certification;
  2. working with clients with a national or geographic footprint;
  3. leading projects involving full spectrum of services by IE;
  4. working with projects with complexities, including leading due diligence efforts, environmental protection issues and litigation;
  5. managing all phases of project from kickoff to closure;
  6. overseeing field crews for accuracy and safety;
  7. leading other project managers;
  8. providing consenting and regulatory authority for approvals; and
  9. a valid Driver’s License is required and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
