Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst /Scheduler to be based out of our Orange, CA office to support our Southern California Water practice.
This role is responsible for overseeing construction and engineering design scheduling, providing essential support for the timely and accurate delivery of project schedules. The position entails managing the reporting of scheduling data, ensuring that all timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met in alignment with project objectives. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and ensure seamless communication and coordination between stakeholders. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of scheduling and reporting processes, contributing to the overall success of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with project collaborators and consultants to provide planning, development, scheduling, reporting, and maintenance of scheduling data
- Perform review and analysis of schedules for reliability, risk identification, risk review, and risk assessments, including providing recommendations on appropriate actions
- Develop and maintain WBS for projects
- Prepare and maintain schedules to accurately report the schedule data
- Perform monthly project schedule updates
- Perform review of construction contractors Time Impact Analysis and provide analysis and recommendations for appropriate actions
- Assists in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data
- Generate and maintain project schedules with design engineer
- Collects data and produces an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater, water, conveyance, dams, heavy civil or construction projects, with proven experience developing resource loaded schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Proven experience in preparing and maintaining P6 schedules for large transportation projects
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value.
- Self-starter with a proactive, result-oriented focus, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and strong oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in preparing technical correspondence, comprehensive reports, addressing audiences effectively, analyzing situations, and collaborating to achieve project goals
- Proficient in P6, Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint, with expertise in utilizing software for project delivery
- Skilled in maintaining effective communication and relationships with management, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, owner's representatives, and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate within a matrix organization, ensuring smooth program delivery and successful project outcomes
