Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Program Controls Director to fulfill a critical role within our organization.

The Program Controls Director will be entrusted with the following crucial responsibilities:

  • Initiate and orchestrate Program Controls for large programs of high strategic value and utmost execution complexity.
  • Provide authoritative oversight for Program Controls activities, ensuring strict alignment with strategic objectives established by senior leadership.
  • Spearhead coordination efforts across multiple projects within the program, guaranteeing seamless integration and adherence to overarching program objectives.
  • Initiate and implement strategic initiatives to optimize processes and foster enhanced collaboration between project teams.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify and address critical interdependencies between projects, employing sophisticated risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Lead high-level conflict resolution efforts, leveraging extensive experience to ensure optimal program performance.
  • Develop and execute advanced resource allocation strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity across the entire program.
  • Conceptualize and implement innovative strategies to exceed program goals and contribute significantly to organizational success.
  • Provide expert guidance and rigorous oversight to project controls teams, ensuring meticulous management of individual project elements.
  • Orchestrate clear, concise, and authoritative communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership, delivering insightful and actionable updates. Ability to present to multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Project Management, Engineering, or Business plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Masters degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business
  • Strong experience with Project Management Information System (PMIS)
  • Experience with large transportation, water, and aviation infrastructure 
  • Experience in integration of controls - scope, cost, schedule, risk reporting
  • Experience in PowerBI report tailoring for program specific needs
