Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Engineer - NOC to join our Network Operations Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing our critical network infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, responding to incidents, and supporting our organization's infrastructure needs.

  • Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and applications using industry-standard monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Respond to and escalate incidents according to established procedures, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
  • Analyze system logs, alerts, and performance metrics to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations for knowledge management and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network administrators, system engineers, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, system updates, and configuration changes in accordance with change management procedures
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and assist with knowledge transfer and training
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR)
  • Generate reports on system performance, availability metrics, and operational trends for management review

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • 5+ years of experience in network operations, infrastructure management, or a similar technical operations role
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or equivalent platforms
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and infrastructure architecture
  • Experience with incident management, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues systematically
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working in 24/7 operations environments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent industry certification
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
  • Experience with multiple monitoring and management platforms
  • Leadership or mentoring experience with junior technical staff
  • Advanced networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code practices
