Job Description
AECOM India is seeking an experienced Structural Expert to lead and support the structural design, review, and technical vetting of infrastructure components. The role involves providing structural engineering expertise for water and infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of RCC and steel structures, including tanks, buildings, and foundations.
- Perform structural analysis, stability checks, and design validation for various infrastructure components.
- Review and vet structural drawings, calculations, and technical documents prepared by design teams or consultants.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS/BIS Codes) and relevant industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance during design development, value engineering, and design review stages.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and other discipline teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Support construction-stage engineering, inspections, and resolution of site-related technical issues as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Structural Engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the design and supervision of water-retaining and infrastructure structures.
- Strong experience in the design of RCC and steel structures for infrastructure projects.
- Well-versed in BIS/IS codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in the use of latest structural analysis and design software tools.
Additional Information
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in relevant structural design and drafting tools, including:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- Structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS or similar)
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, design codes, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to review and interpret complex engineering calculations and drawings.
