At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Strategy Project Manager to join our Dublin office.

Infrastructure Strategy Project Manager

We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Infrastructure Strategy Project Manager to support the development of the Infrastructure Department’s strategic direction. This role will manage key external relationships, lead communications, and oversee the delivery of strategic infrastructure projects from initiation through to successful completion, in alignment with corporate objectives.

The ideal candidate is an agile and strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will play a key role in supporting executive-level decision-making and translating strategy into actionable plans. This position requires a collaborative approach, working across programmes, teams, airport departments, and external partners to successfully deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Support the development and ongoing management of the Infrastructure Department’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment and effective integration across functions.

  • Ensure alignment with National Aviation Policy, regulatory and legislative requirements, internal policies, capital investment plans, and masterplans.

  • Coordinate and manage interfaces across strategic projects spanning multiple programmes, teams, departments, and external partners.

  • Track CEO objectives and provide monthly progress reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., planning, operations, finance, sustainability) and external stakeholders (including regulators, airlines, and government bodies) to align infrastructure strategies.

  • Communicate effectively to understand stakeholder needs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the Infrastructure function and the wider organisation.

Vision and Innovation

  • Demonstrate strategic foresight and the ability to identify future opportunities and challenges.

  • Apply creative and innovative thinking to develop practical solutions to complex problems.

  • Break down complex issues into manageable components, using data analysis and critical evaluation to inform decisions.

  • Assess risks and opportunities, presenting balanced recommendations while remaining adaptable to changing priorities.

Project Planning and Management

  • Support project ideation, concept development, and feasibility assessment.

  • Coordinate internal teams, technical resources, and external partners to deliver strategic projects effectively.

  • Ensure all project interfaces are identified, managed, and addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting on project progress.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in our primary infrastructure markets.

As the successful candidate, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Strategy Officer Role in a large and complex organisation preferably in infrastructure projects. 

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or aviation consultancy. 

  • Understanding of operating in an aviation environment would be beneficial but not essential 

  • Previous history of working in a multidisciplinary team 

Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across organisations including regulatory and statutory authorities with a focus on influencing the improvement of process and relationships.
