Job Description

  1. AECOM is seeking a Senior CADD/BrIM Technician /Bridge Designer  to be based in AECOM's San Francisco office to work on exciting local, regional, and national projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
  • Primary focus is Civil Engineering CADD for bridges and other structural projects.
  • Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
  • Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
  • General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
  • Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.
  • Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the CADD manager. 
  • Performs advanced applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines. 
  • Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. 
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. 
  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
  • Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. 
  • May lead less experienced drafters.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education..
  • Ability to pass MVR check + traditional background screening process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Min 8+ years of experience wth Bridge Structures Design
  • Bentley Microstation and Autocad proficient
  • Proficient in BrIM workflows
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
  • CADD Management experience a plus
