Job Description
Support the delivery of high‑quality geospatial analysis and mapping services. Contribute to the creation, management, and visualization of spatial datasets, supporting a variety of projects across planning, environmental, infrastructure, and engineering disciplines. Working alongside experienced GIS professionals, you will apply modern spatial tools and analytical techniques to solve real‑world challenges while gaining hands‑on experience with geospatial technologies and workflows.
This role is a part of our 24-months Advance graduate program. Your journey from graduate to future leader will be supported through structured learning programs and one-on-one mentoring with industry experts, equipping you with the tools to make a lasting impact on our organization and the nation.
As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in accordance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
Job Summary
- Works under direct supervision.
- Uses concepts, practices and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.
- Analyze and visualize spatial data to support project proposals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate GIS insights into proposals.
- Maintain and update GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of maps and visual presentations for proposals.
Qualifications
- UAE National with a Family Book (mandatory in line with Emiratisation and UAE labor requirements).
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a closely related field with a strong geospatial component.
- Must have graduated within the past 24 months in line with graduate program requirements.
- Foundational experience with GIS tools and concepts gained through academic projects, internships, fieldwork, or coursework.
- Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and/or QGIS, with the ability to create, edit, analyze, and visualize spatial datasets.
- Basic understanding of spatial analysis, cartographic principles, coordinate systems, and geospatial data management.
- Familiarity with Python or R for geoprocessing, automation, or spatial data analysis, with a willingness to build deeper programming skills on the job.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑interpretation capabilities with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to communicate geospatial findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
