Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to lead the structural design and analysis of terminal buildings, piers, concourses, and airside/landside infrastructure for multiple airport projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in structural engineering, with expertise in long-span structural concepts, foundations, and framing solutions tailored to airport operational requirements. This position requires a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, aviation sector experience, and 14 to 16 years of professional expertise in structural design and construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural designs and analyses for terminal buildings, piers, concourses, and airside/landside infrastructure.
  • Develop innovative and efficient long-span structural concepts, foundations, and framing solutions that align with airport operational requirements.
  • Ensure that designs are safe, sustainable, and optimized for constructability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with architecture, MEP, planning, and airside teams to ensure fully integrated and constructible designs.
  • Address interdisciplinary challenges and ensure seamless coordination across all project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure that structural designs align with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Identify and address structural constraints in operational terminals, ensuring safe phasing, constructability, and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop solutions to minimize disruptions to airport operations during construction and renovation activities.
  • Provide support during construction through technical reviews, responses to RFIs (Requests for Information), site inspections, and guidance on erection methodology.
  • Ensure structural safety during construction and provide recommendations to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Conduct site visits to verify compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Ensure that all structural designs comply with international and national standards, including ICAO, DGCA, BCAS, and AAI regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest codes, standards, and best practices in structural engineering and aviation infrastructure.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is mandatory.
  • 14 to 16 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with a focus on aviation infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in designing and analyzing terminal buildings, long-span structures, and airport-related infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and addressing structural challenges in operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, etc.).
