Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Mechanical Handling Systems (MHS) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex mechanical handling systems for Industrial warehouse. 

  • Develop and oversee the design of mechanical handling systems, including conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems, and other material handling equipment
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MHS solutions with other systems and processes
  • Conduct technical analysis and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Create and review technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and operation manuals
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in material handling
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and performance of mechanical handling systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus
  • 12 years of experience in designing and implementing mechanical handling systems for industrial applications
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application to material handling systems
  • Expertise in industrial automation and control systems
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations in material handling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with large-scale industrial projects in diverse environments
  • Willingness to travel as required for project site visits and client meetings
