Job Description

The role serves as a leader within Procurement Operations of AECOM’s Design & Consulting Services (DCS). As part of the Procurement & Supply Chain Job Family Group, the role acts as the primary point of contact for procurement support across all corporate and support functions. In addition, the role owns the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, covering project planning and management, sourcing, prequalification, contracting, ordering goods and services, risk management, contract administration, and supplier relationship and performance management while driving compliance and delivering strategic value.

Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Business Unit and cross-functional leaders, advising on procurement strategies and ensuring compliance with company policies for optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Support indirect procurement projects through all phases: proposal, planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Lead and execute procurement and contracting strategies to ensure initiatives deliver value for AECOM.
  • Coordinate sourcing and contracting with stakeholders and act as liaison between Business Units and Global Business Services (GBS).
  • Follow, reinforce, and continuously improve Source-to-Pay (S2P) policies, procedures, and processes to improve service levels.
  • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and make efficient supply management decisions.
  • Act as a specialist in Coupa eProcurement and DocuSign CLM, supporting cross-functional and corporate users.
  • Prepare and manage RFx events, competitive tenders, site-walks, commercial evaluations, contract awards, and maintenance for indirect expenses.
  • Negotiate, prepare, execute, and facilitate procurement contracts; escalate critical contract and insurance exceptions to leadership.
  • Facilitate new supplier onboarding and prequalification; oversee financial records and approvals within the procurement application.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulations; support resolution of supplier disputes.
  • Challenge the business when projects depart from basic procurement principles.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing meeting deadlines and maximizing impact.
  • Promote Sustainable Procurement by advancing decarbonization, social equity, diversity, and inclusion through partnerships with small and disadvantaged businesses.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and +2 years of related experience in engineering, procurement, and/or construction environments in a multi-location project-based industry, including 2 years of leadership experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM), or other relevant professional certification
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction within a multi-location, project-based industry
  • Deep understanding of commercial and contracting terms, measures, concepts, principles, and strategies
  • Familiarity with Certificates of Insurance and various policy types and limits
