Job Description
Position Overview
We are hiring for the position of Site Engineer – Survey for an elevated metro project in Nagpur. The role involves ensuring accurate surveying and alignment with design parameters for elevated metro structures
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed topographical and geodetic surveys on-site to gather accurate data for elevated metro projects.
- Utilize modern surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and laser scanners to perform surveys efficiently.
- Process and analyze survey data to produce and verify maps, plans, and layout drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports and documentation for submission to project management and design teams.
- Collaborate with design engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the survey work complies with project requirements and standards.
- Provide support during the planning and execution phases of elevated metro projects.
- Ensure survey data accuracy by performing regular calibration and maintenance of surveying instruments.
- Implement quality control protocols and perform field verifications to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Follow strict site safety protocols and ensure all surveying activities comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to mitigate hazards and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain precise records of survey data, field notes, and measurement logs.
- Update project documentation promptly to reflect any changes or adjustments in the survey data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in site surveying and civil engineering.
- 2+ years of specialized experience in surveying for elevated metro projects.
Additional Information
Preferred Attributes
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment (total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners).
- Strong knowledge of surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
- Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, maps, and technical specifications for metro projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address on-site challenges.
