Job Description

Position Overview:

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving growth in the Buildings sector with a focus on Data Centers, Semiconductor facilities, and Advanced Manufacturing projects. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development & Strategy
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Data Centers, Semiconductor, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets.
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and client requirements.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the business development cycle.
    • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure projects.
  • Proposal & Bid Management
    • Collaborate with technical teams to prepare proposals, bids, and presentations.
    • Ensure proposals align with client expectations and company capabilities.
    • Support pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
  • Collaboration & Coordination
    • Work closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional activities and branding initiatives.
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Track business development activities and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
    • Provide regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and market insights to leadership.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development within the Buildings sector, preferably with Data Centers or Semiconductor projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction, design, and engineering processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.

Additional Information

  • Proven track record of securing large-scale projects in Data Centers or Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards and green building practices.
  • Familiarity with global clients and international project delivery.
