Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Architect - Rail to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will lead the architectural design and planning of complex rail infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and functionality.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive architectural designs for rail projects, including stations, depots, and associated facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural designs with engineering systems and environmental considerations
- Lead client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and project progress
- Ensure compliance with local and international rail standards, regulations, and best practices
- Manage and mentor junior architects and design teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of design and documentation
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve design issues during construction phases
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in rail architecture to drive continuous improvement in design practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Professional registration as a licensed architect or engineer
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in rail architecture and engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale rail projects
- Advanced knowledge of rail infrastructure design and engineering principles
- In-depth understanding of rail systems, including track design, signaling, and electrification
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant design tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multi-faceted projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Familiarity with international rail standards and regulations
- Experience working in the Middle East region is advantageous
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
