Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Transit Systems Asset Management Technician to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of transit infrastructure assets. This role involves leveraging existing asset management data, as-built drawings, and on-site inspections to maintain up-to-date records and proactively identify potential issues. Position will reside at the client site in Alexandria, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and utilize existing asset management data and as-built drawings.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of transit assets to verify current conditions.
  • Update asset records with red-line markups and digital data to reflect actual site conditions.
  • Identify and document quality issues and discrepancies during asset checks.
  • Detect potential failures or risks that may otherwise go unnoticed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure alignment with asset management standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational guidelines throughout all activities.

 

    Qualifications

    Minimum: 

    • High School and 4 years of related asset management or transit systems or related fields or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.·      

    Preferred: 

    • Proficiency in asset lifecycle management and condition assessment.
    • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
    • Proficient in project detail analysis and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in team communication and collaboration.
    • Proficiency in IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
    • Experience with GIS tools for spatial asset data management.
    • Proficient with digital documentation platforms and red-line markup tools.
    • Competence and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems.
