Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist III to join our team in Orlando, FL. As a BIM Specialist III, you'll contribute to transformative projects in water/wastewater, buildings, and the environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently on multiple projects.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Works under limited supervision.
- Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
- Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the model, pumps, pipes, systems, etc.). Performs complex Revit or CADD assignments and coordinates Revit or CADD drawing production in support of the CADD manager.
- Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as Revit, AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
- Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
- May lead less experienced drafters.
- Trains others in design software as needed
- Acts as lead CAD coordinator on assigned projects
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Proven experience working on water, wastewater treatment plant projects
- Process mechanical drafting and Revit experience is required
- Experience working on multi-discipline design projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working Knowledge of other disciplines in the engineering consulting industry
