AECOM’s Water Group serves internal and external clients across a diverse range of projects, including:
- Water and wastewater treatment,
- Dams and major conveyance systems,
- Industrial and civil infrastructure,
- Mining
- Defence sectors.

Job Description
Your day could include any of the following:
- Develop and implement innovative process engineering strategies and solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Oversee the design, simulation and optimisation of treatment processes
- Provide guidance on technical challenges and solutions, including advanced process technologies and sustainability practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their challenges and delivering tailored solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Ensure designs and solutions meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
- Relevant tertiary degree (essential) and RPEQ / RPEV, CPEng (highly regarded).
- Extensive years of relevant experience in the wastewater treatment industry
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and environmental regulations in Australia and New Zealand
- Proficiency in process engineering, data analysis, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
