Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Resident Project Manager specializing in water and wastewater projects to join our team in Dickinson, North Dakota, United States, starting around March 2025. In this critical role, you will oversee the successful execution of $100 million water treatment plant and other water infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage the on-site quality control program, coordinate the engineering support services, and communicate with Owner, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers from inception to completion and startup
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Review project submittals, change orders, and payment applications
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project outcomes
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports, including status updates and financial summaries
  • Monitor adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater projects
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid Driver's license that allows you to drive during the course of your employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater construction project management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and schedule constraints
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of construction safety standards and practices
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
  • Experience with SCADA systems and instrumentation preferred
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations related to water and wastewater projects
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the region as needed
