Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Program Manager to be based in Sacramento, CA
- Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar, thereby increasing the potential for larger change orders and consequences of error.
- May act independently as the IE representative with consulting firms and ensures that the final product reflects the original scope and budget requirements.
- Manages projects which have greater complexity than a Program Manager III.
- Increasing responsibility for leadership of direct reports.
- Conducting meetings with project management staff.
- Reviewing project managers’ workload reports for accuracy, cost, and completion.
- Reviewing monthly and quarterly reports.
- Reviewing project descriptions, activities, schedules, budgets, and other issues.
- Confirming work to be complete within the funding authority.
- Reviewing risks and identifies mitigation strategies.
- Providing direction to project managers.
- Coordinates and communicates with the Principal Manager, Deputy Director, and Director.
- Participating in meetings.
- Manages PCOs, COs and consultants’ work.
- Reviews Time Impact Analyses (TIAs).
- Reviews outstanding cost contingencies.
- Reviews outstanding/critical issues, RFI and submittals.
- Reviews and addresses client concerns and performance issues.
- Visits the job sites and conducts monthly meetings with the general contractors.
- Approves invoices and change orders managed by consultants.
- Manages document control systems, data repositories and other reporting systems.
- Trains project managers.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 10 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency or experience and or education.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience as a construction program manager like the Judicial Council’s program is preferred
Working within a political environment.
Facilitate designated stakeholders, internal controls, state agencies and legislature in program planning and management control.
Experience in managing costs control, scheduling, risk management and/or comparable positions.
