Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join our team in Murray, Utah. In this role, you will lead the design and development of complex transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions for our clients.

  • Develop and oversee the design of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, intersections, and transit systems.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, urban planners, and environmental specialists.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and construction documents.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and project progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovative transportation solutions.
  • Senior technical resource which may serve as technical advisor for team.
  • Responsible for 3D modeling.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • Professional engineering related work environment with heavy emphasis on design of highways / roadways.
  • Utah PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as Civil3d, Microstation ORD / Open Roads
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, develop technical reports and document client communication.
