Job Description

AECOM is expanding its dynamic Civil Infrastructure business in Newcastle and we are looking for an experienced Water Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team.

Our services include network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater and recycled water projects, and a dedicated Dams Engineering offering.

In joining our dynamic and market-leading team, you will contribute to the delivery of our growing portfolio of large infrastructure projects across NSW, Australia, and the broader region and provide our range of clients with brilliant and innovative solutions.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Coordinate, manage and complete projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
  • As a key member of our team, you will support the growth of our water and wastewater business through delivering great work.
  • Collaborate with a large number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors, ensuring client service satisfaction.
  • As an experienced engineer, you will coach our junior professionals, providing technical direction and fostering the growth and development of the team.

The role will involve you working in a team with a strong culture, a diverse project portfolio and you will have opportunities to take advantage of AECOM’s global reach.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects within a dynamic consulting and design environment.
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution – water, recycled water, sewerage – all things Water Infrastructure
  • Proficiency in water/wastewater process modelling software and knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.
  • Passion for delivering high quality work, with excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.
