Job Description
AECOM is hiring a Project Manager - Architecture/Engineering for our Roanoke, VA office. The PM will be responsible for the day-to-day project and client management for multi-discipline architectural and engineering design services for buildings and facilities projects and teams from the initial planning through the construction phase. The portfolio of work includes a wide variety of project sizes with a focus on Department of Defense and/or healthcare work. Candidates must be willing to travel to client sites globally to support assigned projects.
Duties include:
- Working with the project Principal-in-Charge throughout all phases of the project to obtain client satisfaction and financial project performance
- In conjunction with the Principal-in-Charge, successfully develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute the project(s)
- Communicate with clients and project teams which will include public agencies
- Development and management of project schedules and budgets
- Quality assurance
- This position may involve the management of teams across business lines, in remote locations and/or the management of subcontractors
- Business development and marketing support for proposals and presentations.
- Facilitate team communication, coordination, and collaboration to support assigned projects
- Collaborator with, and mentor less experienced employees

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an Engineering discipline plus six (6) years of relevant Project Management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
- Project management experience managing multi-discipline architectural engineering building and facilities design projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of experience in an architectural/engineering profession
- Management of U.S. Department of Defense projects preferred
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Security Clearance is a plus
- Experience in design-build and other alternate delivery methods
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
