The AECOM Dublin Bridge Team are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to work on an exciting and growing project portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for technically able, self-motivated individuals with the desire to advance their career in a dynamic environment.

Job Duties include:

  • Deliver: Delivery of projects through all phases of the project lifecycle and the development of preliminary and detailed designs for bridges, retaining walls, culverts etc.
  • Provide Expertise: Supervision of junior engineers and technicians
  • Collaboration: Coordination of multi discipline inputs. Involved in the planning and project administration. As well as the preparation, implementation and assessment of contract documents.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant field such as Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering, coupled with post graduate experience in the Bridge Engineering field
  • Chartered Engineer (EI, ICE, IStructE or equivalent recognized professional institution) preferred.
  • Analysis and detailed design of road/rail/foot/cycle bridges and other structures
  • Strong ability in finite element modelling, paired with a working knowledge of the Eurocodes
  • Delivery of bridge schemes through all phases of the TII Technical Acceptance procedure
  • Experience of supporting delivery of infrastructure through the Irish statutory processes including ABP/SID/Part 8 and associated EIA/AA processes
  • Experience of relevant design standards such as the Eurocodes, TII DMRB, SRW and MCHW, Cycle Design Manual (or similar international cycle design guidelines) and DMURS or similar transferable international experience
  • Good communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
