Job Description

REF: 001

  • The study of existing PL SQL Code and write PL SQL code to meet requirements of change specifications;
  • The creation, design and debug of C++ and/or PL SQL and/or C# and/or Java Script and/or JSON code to ensure technical performance. 
  • The analysis of the problems outlined by team seniors in terms of such factors as style and extent of information to be transferred to and from storage units, variety of items to be processed, extent of sorting, and format of final printed results; and
  • Any other Programmer/Software Developer - Level 1 related tasks requested by the Technical Authority (TA) to support operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited University in Computer Science or Information Management, Information Technology, or Software Engineering OR Computer Programming or college specializing in Computer Science or Computer Programming of at least 1 year duration
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience as a Programmer/Software Developer
  • Minimum of 6 months of demonstrated combined experience within the past 3 years in:
    • C++ using MS Visual Studio for application development OR SQL for applications development OR Web application design
  • Minimum of 6 months of demonstrated experience developing software within an Agile development environment
  • Experience developing large organizations HRMS including DND (10000+ users with 1000 concurrent users) applications within the past 3 years
  • Experience testing software applications within the past 3 years which they have developed

Additional Information

  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Reliability Canadian Federal Government Security clearance
  • Must be able to go onsite in the Ottawa area 5 days a week
