ADGA is growing! We are building a team to provide strong systems engineering and system integration capabilities suitable for a complex, multi-platform environments in support of complex marine, defence and sensor based technology initiatives. 

These projects involve coordinating multiple platforms, managing interfaces, and ensuring that diverse hardware, software, and data systems operate reliably as part of a larger system‑of‑systems environment.

Tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Effective integration across marine, digital and sensor-based platforms.
  • Provision of technical leadership and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
  • Clear communication with stakeholders through briefings, reports and technical presentations.
  • Proactive management of risk and integration challenges.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure interoperability and performance.
  • Adherence to safety, security and operational standards.
  • Directly support the program management team in the development of scopes of work and related specifications to support procurement and collaboration activities.
  • Delivery of system architectures, interface definitions and integration plans aligned with program needs.
  • Support for field trials, system testing and validation activities.
  • Maintenance of requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Production of accurate, complete engineering documentation.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following: 

Systems engineering and integration:

  • System of Systems integration experience involving hardware, software, communications and data systems.
  • Development of system architectures, interface definitions, integration plans, and technical requirements.
  • Management of system interfaces, data exchange formats and interoperability requirements.
  • Execution of integration readiness reviews, technical risk assessments and evaluation activities.
  • Integration testing capabilities, including hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop and end-to-end validation.
  • Application of systems engineering processes and life cycle management frameworks.

Technical and domain knowledge:

  • Experience with marine, defence, sensor-based, or autonomous systems.
  • Support for field trials, system testing and validation campaigns.
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary technical domains such as software, hardware, communications and marine operations.
  • Analytical and diagnostic capabilities for resolving complex integration issues.

Documentation and communication:

  • Lead production of engineering documentation, including interface control documents, integration procedures and test plans.
  • Clear communication of technical concepts for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including government, research institutions and industry.

 

Additional Information

  • This part time/casual role is contract based.
  • A great opportunity if you are open to part time work.
  • Hours may vary depending on the demand. We anticipate roughly 30 - 32 hours per week. 
  • Office is located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. (Hybrid role)
