ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is looking for an Intermediate Network Specialist to support to one of our large Defence programs.  Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendation on systems and subsystem interface documentation;
  • Recommend system level solutions for discrepancies, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and specifications.
  • Liaise with subsystem technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability;
  • Provide system integration, analysis, and evaluation support;
  • Prepare the planning and procurement support documentation for network systems;
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to the network systems, including but not limited to system maintenance procedures and schedules, training documentation, and configurations;
  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to network system components, capacity planning, system back-up and disaster recovery, user training, and associated documentation;
  • Conduct design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems;
  • Conduct and/or witness system integration testing and evaluation;
  • Conduct technical definition studies and options analysis;
  • Assist in train-the-trainer and end-user training activities;
  • Perform any other work related to this category.

Qualifications

  • Proof of STEM Degree or Diploma (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field.
  • 6+ years of recent experience with a minimum of 3 of the areas below:
    • Plan, initialize, configure, and employ wired military communications systems (Hardware, software and network), including cryptographic devices;
    • Employ military radio communications systems in both Narrow and Wide Bands;
    • Implement test plans for various levels of testing including: unit, integration, regression, system level and user acceptance tests. Must include organizing, and scheduling test events, as well as drafting and developing test reports.
    • Life-cycle management of network systems.
  • 4+ years of recent experience preparing technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in a minimum of 2 of the 4 areas below:
    • Drafting and developing presentations and briefings regarding test plans and results to management.
    • Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of management.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary teams in the development and support of IT tactical systems or multi-site Enterprise Networks.
    • Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.

  • Must currently hold Federal Government Secret Clearance
  • Copies of Degrees and Certifications will be required
