Job Description

A government client is looking for a Senior Evaluation Services Consultant for a part time contract to assist them with the management of scientific research projects.

Qualifications

  • Completed a graduate degree with an academic background in research to the Master’s level (M.Sc.) in a related discipline (e.g. Biology, Environmental Management/Engineering or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience related to the management of scientific research projects and environmental effects monitoring programs related to the offshore oil and gas exploration/production (including oil spills)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental assessment work experience related to the offshore oil and gas industry in Canada that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of corporate procedures and logistics involved in the conduct of environmental assessments
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in community engagement with local communities, Indigenous groups and special interest groups related to oil and gas activities in Canada’s Atlantic Provinces
  • Minimum of 3 projects in the provision of technical advice related to Canada’s Environmental Impact Assessment process; Canada’s offshore oil and gas industry and associated federal/provincial regulations; oil and gas research programs and community engagement
