The ABOUT YOU Outlet is an online shopping club for customers who love the real bargains. It's a new website next to the ABOUT YOU website. The team’s focus is to provide an inspiring, convenient, intuitive, and easy-to-use shopping experience for our customers.

To ensure our high-quality standard and a flawless shopping experience, we are currently looking for an analytical and precise Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team onsite in Hamburg or remote within the EU!

What you will do

• Analysis of business requirements and enhancements, communication with Product Managers on requirements clarification
• Creation of testing documentation
• Testing new functionality and ensuring that current functionality works as expected
• Manage and prioritize bug reports or bug tickets from internal and external stakeholders, always keeping their business value in mind
• Report bugs and reproduce them through the complete bug cycle
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the delivery of quality features
• Advocate for  quality within a cross-functional development team
• Making our release process as smooth as possible while keeping the user experience always as your main priority
• Contribute to ABOUT YOU’s long-term automatic testing strategy

Who you are

• You have at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging of the backend in big-scale projects
• You have very good coding skills in JavaSctipt/TypeScript and have proven automation experience using them
• Experience in writing detailed test cases for front end web and app features
• Experience in creating and managing Smoke, Integration and E2E test suites
• You are experienced in manual testing (explorative and destructive) as well as automated testing (e.g. with cypress.io)
• You are able to get a quick grasp of complex technical systems
• You focus on the details but always keep the business value of the software in mind
• You are experienced with agile methodologies and understand what it means to have a quality mindset in an agile environment
• You possess very good communication skills and the ability to handle different stakeholders
• You speak and write English fluently

Nice to have:

• Prior experience working in small teams
• You have experience in  eCommerce field
