Job Description

The primary function of this position is to ensure that with in parameters of the company credit policy appropriate customer terms of trade are controlled in order to minimize financial risk and optimize sales and ensure adherence to Mandatory Credit policies.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Daily collection of payments from customers/distributors allocated and filed
  •  Monthly processing of customer refunds as per credit policy
  • Ensure that payments received for customer accounts are posted and allocated as per Credit Policy. Follow up on any delayed or underpayments
  • Journals and customer refunds (where required) are posted promptly and according to standards with appropriate supporting commentary
  • Ensure that all account/payment queries are addressed in time as per credit policy
  • Periodic stock verifications done for all customers
  • Monitoring and implementation of debt repayment plans from delinquent customers
  • Ensuring that debt confirmations done from all assigned customers
  • Monthly customer account reconciliations and follow up on identified reconciliation issues
  • Managing of all key accounts (Supermarkets)
  • Daily monitoring of debt and stock movements on customer accounts
  • Periodic stock done for all customers
  • Monitoring and implementation of debt repayment plans from delinquent customers
  • Ensuring that debt confirmations done from all assigned customers
  • Monthly customer account reconciliations and follow up on identified reconciliation issues
  • Micromanaging of all key accounts (Supermarkets)
  • Maintain and protect record of all customer information
  • Maintain record of all bank deposit slips and adjustments journals
  • Manage and execute the load planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Knowledge of accounting packages and computerized business systems
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Team player and with high level of integrity
  • Ability and willingness to work across the country
  • Works with energy and enthusiasm to solve customer problems. Team Player executes with discipline and a sense of urgency coupled with high levels of integrity
