Job Description

An exciting areer opportunity exists for a highly skilled and result driven Quality Manager.  The role is based in Ilesa Plant and reports directly to the Regional Brewing & Quality Coordinator, West Africa with a dotted line to Plant Manager, Ilesa Plant. The incumbent will ensure that all Quality Control Procedures and activities in the plant are executed as per the manualized QA procedures, covering the method, frequency and standards as specified in the QA manuals 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages shift in accordance with VPO tools and principles   
  • Manages shift to achieve production plan within the allowed costs  
  • Co-ordinate scheduled maintenance and autonomous operations  
  • Monitor and co-ordinate production processes to within budget 
  • Interpret and implement the production plan for shift  
  • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment  
  • Build and foster relationships with customers and suppliers 
  • Ensure application of admin systems and procedures  
  • Administer conditions of employment for team members  
  • Contribute to self and team development 
  • Prepare and control budgets 
  • Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles  
  • Facilitate team problem solving 
  • Develop employees  
  • Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate  
  • Manage and apply people policies and practices 
  • Facilitate effective team dynamics  
  • Implement performance management and OPR processes 
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, Microbiology or equivalent 
  • 3 Years+ in a Quality Assurance Laboratory, Brewing or Packaging operation 
  • 1 Year+ as a Lab Specialist, GCB is not mandatory but an advantage
