Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute research regarding market conditions as well as local influences.
  • Ensure to refine valuation models to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Execute business valuations for acquisitions and mergers, charitable contributions, estate and gift taxes plus incentive stock option programs.
  • Ensure to buy or sell agreements and goodwill impairment evaluation.
  • Manage reorganization, bankruptcy, stockholder disputes as well as marital dissolution.
  • Perform financial analysis for complicated business litigation along with special financial investigations.
  • Develop and Edit Valuation database
  • Contribute directly to the development of proposals and presentations for current or prospective clients
  • Prepare and review valuation reports of other professionals as part of AAFCPA’s annual financial statement audit procedures, including drafting of memos for the audit file.       
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Work to develop a comprehensive approach to and understanding of the client's business and its needs.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience with valuation-related projects within an audit, tax, and advisory firm
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with valuations of business entities and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, 409A, financial reporting, and financial analysis and research
  • CVA, ABV, or ASA designation a plus
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid research and analytical skills, and the ability to work well both autonomously and in a team environment
