Job Description

A & A is in search of a Customer Relationship Manager who will take the lead in understanding our customer’s business and be proactive with ensuring A & A is meeting their needs and expectations. By creating a strategic relationship with our customers, the Customer Relationship Manager is accountable for the retention and growth of our existing customer base. The right candidate will come with a high level of humility and a "Make it Happen" attitude!

Serve with Enthusiasm
As the primary strategic point of contact, the Customer Relationship Manager will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining customer profiles to ensure all internal stakeholders understand the customer’s day to day business needs and preferences
  • Maintain business plans for customers to ensure internal stakeholders have a complete understanding of their business, suppliers, spend, goal, forecast, strategy
  • Create and maintain customer driven reporting 
  • Review customer information to identify, communicate, and proactively streamline our customer’s supply chain
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for value added services within our current customer base 

Make it Happen

  • Work with our sales team and customers to ensure a seamless on-boarding
  • Ensure customer inquiries and/or issues are resolved quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Promote A & A services customer and marketing services
  • Review customer activity to identify “at risk” customers and action negative trends
  • Celebrate positive customer trends and ensure our customers are champions through participation in our referral program

Learn and Grow
In the first 30 days, you will:

  • Familiarize yourself with A & A’s processes, procedures and SOP’s
  • Learn internal systems, programs and applications used by A & A
  • Establish KPI’s applicable to your individual deliverables
  • Learn about your customer portfolio

In the first 60 days, you will:

  • Have created a report with the key customers within your customer portfolio
  • Fully understand A & A’s internal stakeholder groups and their function
  • Have created a schedule of customer visits/ updates for your customer portfolio
  • Are able to communicate clearly your key customer’s priorities 

In the first 90 days, you will:

  • Have become the primary strategic key contact person for your customer portfolio
  • Be able to resolve customer inquiries/ issues within a prescribed timeline
  • Be fully updating and maintaining customer profiles
  • Be fully competent to on-board new customers

Qualifications

 

  • 1-2 years of brokerage experience is required
  • APICs, CCLP, CCS, or equivalent logistics experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Google Doc’s/ MS Office applications
  • CRM experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven problem solving and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • 8:00 - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday with weekends off, with flexibility to adapt your schedule to suit company needs.

This position can be remote or in person at our Surrey, BC office.
