Job Description

Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementing and directing the marketing activities to support the organization and achieve established sales objectives.

•    Establish and communicate marketing objectives

 •    Plan, organize, direct and control the marketing team to meet defined objectives

•    Recruit and hire marketing team

 •    Coach, counsel, advise and support the marketing sales team

 •    Establish training programs for the organization’s sales representatives

•    Maintain a self-development program to improve marketing skills, managerial skills, business skills and product knowledge

 •    Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy

•    Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information and communicate results to company leadership

•    Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services

•    Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing staff and oversee their daily activities

Qualifications

•    A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management and directing a marketing team

•    Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification

•    Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies•    Technical marketing skills

•    Proven experience in customer and market research

•    Experience with enterprise software solutions and large and complex organizations

 •    Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. •    Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy

•    Proven track record in managing and directing a highly skilled, motivated, and successful marketing team

•    Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements

 •    Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment

 •    People management and leadership skills, including coaching, supervision, staffing, and conflict managemen

t•    Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

o    Knowledge and understanding of the utility industry

o    Understanding of the SDLC for information technology

 o    Marketing experience in a consulting firm

o    Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field

Additional Information

Approximately up to 25% travel required.
