DIRECTOR – Business Intelligence w/ Tableau

The Director – Business Intelligence (BI) will provide support and expertise to all our Client’s Reporting needs. The Director provides thought leadership and delivers against technology roadmaps to support our Client’s vision and evolution of Information Management. The Director must be passionate about supporting our Client’s BI roadmap. And must have experience integrating new and emerging technologies into existing environments as technologies evolve and demands change.

Location: Golden, CO (local candidates preferred, relocation is an option)

Position: Fulltime/Direct

Required: 10+ years of BI development, 5+ years of Tableau experience, Tableau 9.3, Oracle and SQL SERVER DB

Desired: Healthcare data experience preferred

Requirements:

· 10+ years of BI Reporting Development experience in developing business intelligence systems and large scale data warehouses

· 5+ years of experience in Tableau-based BI is a must

· Must have experience with Tableau 9.3.

· Experience on major databases such as Oracle and SQL Server is a must

· Hire, develop and manage staff capacity focusing on succession planning, redundant coverage, cost effective alternative staffing solutions to meet service demands

· Lead, plan, organize and control daily staff activities using appropriate key performance indicators and industry standard controls.

· Experience with Hadoop, Data Lakes is desired

· Hands-on development using Tableau to create dashboards & reports and use as standard templates

· Define and manage schema objects for Tableau projects

· Document systems through object models, data definitions and naming conventions

· Candidate has to closely work in developing the data models and Dashboards in Tableau. Develop relevant Tableau solution, performing project development roles using Tableau Desktop and server side components.

· A sound working knowledge with Tableau components mainly Data Models, Designer, Security, Server and Publisher

· Good conceptual knowledge on Data warehousing concepts (Star schema, Snowflake Schema, etc.)

· Candidate has to closely work in developing the data models and Dashboards in Tableau.

· Develop relevant Tableau solution, performing project development roles using Tableau Desktop and server side components

· Will be mainly responsible for solution outline, design and build of Tableau solutions

· Define and implement BI management procedures

· Design and implement BI metadata and data dictionary design and standards

· Ability to write reports, documentation and speak effectively before groups of business and IT personnel

· Should be able to articulate issues and solutions clearly and be a very good communicator with excellent oral/written, presentation and articulation skills
