Job Description

Position Overview


Responsible for defining / managing the technical, timing, financials and staffing elements of the project(s) while being the primary interface between customer and the internal engineering and management teams.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all internal and/or external customer deliverables
  • Provide leadership to a matrixed, cross-functional team
  • Support development of and management to the Engineering Project
  • Budget and piece price targets
  • Document and track compliance to customer’s technical and commercial requirements along with developing solutions to address any/all identified gaps
  • Develop and maintain project primary project timelines
  • Provide regular project status reports to customer as well as internal senior management
  • Co-lead developing, sourcing and managing key suppliers
  • Drive towards rapid identification and resolution of any and all engineering related performance, cost and timing issues regardless of where the issue originates (customer, engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply base, etc)





  • BSME/EE required with MS / MBA and/or PMO certification desired
  • 5+ years industry experience required
  • 3+ years at Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • 2 years direct or matrix management of people
  • High Tech Start-up / Hybrid Electric Vehicles / Alternative Energy / Batteries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High Energy / Flexible / Adaptable / Dynamic / “can-do” attitude
  • Strong technical background with focus on electrical / mechanical / software integration
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Business / financial acumen
  • Familiarity with Automotive Development Processes / APQP process
  • Ability to thrive within a rapidly changing / growing matrix organization
  • Experience in developing and installing process disciplines
