Job Description

Primary responsibilities
This position is responsible for the repair/install/preventative maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility electrical systems using blueprints, manuals, and written instructions. Will also troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect a wide variety of process and mechanical equipment. Perform daily rounds and readings on all facilities electrical equipment. Select, hire and oversee maintenance and repair contractors when necessary. Plans, schedules and communicates facility maintenance and modifications to organization. Monitor the building management system, a working knowledge of clean room/dry room protocols and practices, must be able to lift 30 lbs, work at elevated heights. This position will be based in Waltham with responsibilities in one other location (Hopkinton, Massachusetts).

Specific Skills/Abilities
The position requires attention to detail. The successful candidate must exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a small team. The successful candidate will be resourceful and have excellent interaction skills. Prior experience managing industrial facilities a plus.

Qualifications



Education/Experience

Perform safe work practices according to state occupational standards.

Massachusetts Electrical License

Working knowledge of mass electrical codes

Must be able to read and understand blue prints

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Minimum 10 years industrial experience

High energy, results driven and hands-on

Must be able to adapt to change

Must have working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems

PLC knowledge is a plus

Must possess strong problem solving skills as well as general knowledge of building design and construction maintenance
