Job Description

The IT Governance Analyst is responsible for providing IT governance, and will align IT investments with enterprise business goals, as well as Bureau and Agency guidance. The IT Governance Analyst will oversee requirements submission and sponsorship requirements, in line with prescribed processes, ensuring an accurate level of detail and defined scope. He/she will also oversee business case analyses for all new and amended functional requirements, reviewing them for sufficient cost, schedule and risk information. He/she will support the customer’s IT initiatives to ensure alignment with IT strategic objectives, business goals, and internal or external compliance needs. Support development of a repeatable process for identifying & analyzing technologies and tools.  The IT Governance Analyst should be able to provide input into the creation of a governance model for the Agency’s Intake Process to enable the selection and prioritization of projects.   The IT Governance Analyst will apply technical knowledge and experience to modernize the client’s IT governance practices and principles to increase assurance of continuous compliance integration, faster delivery of changes, and improved linkages between strategy and execution. He/she will serve as a steward fostering change to operational technical governance frameworks. Conduct IT strategy and governance assessments to recommend solutions for improving oversight and decisions–making to drive IT initiatives.  This position requires an individual who can work well under pressure, multi-task, and participate and communicate well with a team. Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and good verbal and written communications are required.  This individual must be able to understand the technical content of all meetings and be able to articulate those to the customer. The candidate will display a high level of professionalism at all times. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to include business writing. Experience developing relationships with and communicating with multiple levels of IT and business staff. Working knowledge of financial management. Project management techniques and methods is a plus.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Business from an accredited institution required

  • 3-5 years of developing business process modeling (BPM)
  • 3-5 years of experience with IT PMO and IT governance
  • 3-5 years of experience with IT strategy and design disciplines, including enterprise architecture, IT investment management, and/or IT project management
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting IT development or O&M programs
  • Develops policy and supporting documentation for programs
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and desktop publishing software.
  • Ability to work as an integral member of a team and proactively assist others.
  • Possess strong verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and detail-oriented
  • Experience working with Government agencies

·         Ability to quickly switch tasks, multi-task, be highly organized and detail oriented

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to effectively work with multiple levels within an organization

·         Experience preparing high visibility, executive level presentation materials

·         The ability to determine course of action to solve various roadblocks processing initiative requests related to supporting business requests
