The Business Development Associate will be instrumental in driving our business growth, focusing on identifying, engaging, and converting target prospects. Reporting to the Head of Growth, you will be part of a vibrant team, helping shape our presence across global markets. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in a business development or sales role who wants to make an immediate impact while developing their career.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Prospecting and Research
- Identify and track relevant decision-makers and influencers in our target organisations.
- Build comprehensive profiles of buyer intent and behaviour, highlighting opportunities for engagement.
- Leverage conventional and unconventional methods for prospecting, including events, networking, and promotions.

2. Outreach and Engagement
- Use CRM tools and platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to create and execute high-impact, multi-channel campaigns.
- Source "out-of-the-box" opportunities to engage prospects through innovative approaches and in-person interactions.
- Develop tailored outreach strategies, focusing on understanding client pain points and aligning solutions effectively.

3. Sales Support and Collaboration
- Support the Head of Growth in preparing proposals, presentations, and pitches.
- Participate in client pitches and meetings, gaining exposure to high-value deal processes.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies, leveraging your insights to improve outcomes.

4. Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM platforms, ensuring full visibility of the sales pipeline.
- Analyse and report on key metrics, providing actionable recommendations to optimise business development efforts.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years in a business development, sales, or related role.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with proven experience in building relationships and presenting ideas effectively.

Highly Desired Skills
- Experience in B2B SaaS or consulting/strategy.
- Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and the ability to manage a robust prospecting strategy.
- Comfort and proficiency in presenting and public speaking.

Core Competencies
- Ability to identify client pain points and communicate how our solutions align with their needs in an engaging manner.
- An understanding of business strategy concepts, with the ability to translate these into compelling conversations with prospects.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering trust and alignment with potential clients.
