3H Partners is now recruiting a Junior Business Development Associate (for an initial 1-year contract). This position offers you a varied, highly challenging and client-facing role in strategy and innovation consulting, allowing you to be part of a diverse team that will challenge you to grow further.

 

As a Junior Business Development Associate, your role is to:

 

Contribute to the development of high-quality content to be used as part of new business development for prospective and existing clients. Manage the relationships with our account management team to create contract-winning proposals for prospective clients.

 

  • Research & Analysis

    • Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports to participate in offers and develop plans to influence decision making

    • Carry out research and analyse our focus verticals and be a key contributor helping 3 Horizons prepare compelling proposals and marketing material

    • Develop an interest in at least one vertical within the first 6 month period and become insight leader in that field and represent 3H in C-level meetings alongside the sales team

    • Accountability: Throughput of content (marketing and proposal), quality of content, insight leadership score

 

  • Execution

    • Manage the relationship within our Business Development and Account Management team members to create consistent and effective communication and contract-winning proposals for existing and prospective clients

    • Track every activity in our pipeline management and CRM software and update bid and marketing libraries 

    • Host a regular (semi-annual) virtual meeting with consulting leads and directors to discuss marketing strategy, sales activity and the customer landscape

    • Accountability: Accuracy of our pipeline management and CRM software, status of bid/marketing libraries, internal feedback on internal strategy meetings

 

Participate in the development of relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships to speed up the conversion from sign-up to the first trade. Support the Business Development Manager and the Account Based Marketing Manager in understanding the insights to send to each prospect or existing clients in order to develop an accurate and consistent action plan

 

  • Demand Management

    • Work closely with the consulting and sales leads to plan, launch and execute compelling marketing campaigns to drive pipeline of opportunities for corporate consulting and our SaaS product

    • Develop account based marketing programmes according to the brief and run Account Based Marketing programmes within our existing lead database to drive pipeline growth

    • Organise and host periodic events (virtual) for presenting relevant case studies and product features to support the pipeline growth (new business)

    • Research market trends and competitive field activity information enabling the company to support territory strategies/tactics and react quickly to competitive actions while monitoring sources of information to identify opportunities

    • Accountability: Number of leads coming from marketing activities, conversion rate from lead to prospect (lead quality), number of virtual events and feedback from virtual events

  • Community

    • Engage with existing clients or lead/prospect databases through focus groups and/or surveys in order to identify trending problems and to provide a value stream to leads/customers 

    • Review customer personas on a semi-annual basis for each segment under supervision of the business development team

    • Execute customer satisfaction surveys and present these to the directors on a semi-annual basis

    • Accountability: Number of surveys carried out, percentage of survey returns, qualitative review by the business development team

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic achievements from a leading university or Business school, with a Master’s degree in Business/Management/Engineering/Marketing

  • Previous full-time experience in consulting or relevant industry (2 years)

  • Previous experience in Sales and Marketing highly beneficial

  • Full proficiency in spoken and written English with strong communication skills

  • Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with people at all levels within an organisation

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation skills and ability to drive discussions; the job requires great communication skills whether it be face to face, through phone or email

  • Experience utilising ABM and CRM tools. In absence of experience, a strong commitment to master the tools within 6 months.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with great attention to detail

  • Ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients is a must

  • Demonstrable ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.

  • Italian, French and/or German language skills

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical tools, such as R, SPSS and/or Python.
