Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Technician to join our team. This position is a critical part of our manufacturing and continuous improvement processes. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver who can not only perform maintenance on our molds but also design and build fixtures to support our continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities: • Mold Maintenance & Repair: Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of plastic injection molds. This includes disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and repairing mold components to ensure optimal performance and part quality. • Fixture Design & Fabrication: Design, fabricate, and implement fixtures and jigs to support poka-yoke (mistake-proofing) and automation initiatives. Use a variety of tools and machines to create custom components. • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions. • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve to
JOB INFORMATION
- Starting Salary: $60K per year
- Workweek: Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm

- English Level Requirement: Preferred, but not obligatory.
Qualifications
- Qualifications: • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a tool room, preferably within a plastic injection molding environment. • Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of mold design, construction, and repair. o Proficiency in operating tool room machinery (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders). o Experience with the design and creation of jigs and fixtures. o Basic to advanced CAD/CAM software knowledge is a plus. • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the precision and quality of work. • Preferred: Experience in creating practical automation solutions: reducing labor, increasing efficiency, impro
