Job Description

  • The SQF Practitioner has been designated by senior management to develop, validate, verify and maintain the company’s Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan. The SQF Practitioner has the responsibility and necessary resources to fully manage the Food Safety programs at  facilities and ensure it meets and/or exceeds all the requirements of the SQF and FSMA.

 

  • Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
  • Salary: Starting $55,000
  • Hours Per Week: 40 + 
  • Overtime: This is an exempt position, no OT paid for. 
  • Workweek: Monday - Friday. Occasional weekends
  • Shifts: 1st shift: Mon – Friday. 7:00-8:00 am to 4:00-5:00 pm.  
  • Payment Days: Biweekly / Thursday 
  • Start Dates: ASAP
  • Locations: Blair MN. / This position requires approximately 50% travel. We reimburse mileage at the IRS recommended rate.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 years of relevant experience and technical knowledge in the Dairy Industry.
  • Experience with GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, and GMP in food safety programs.
  • Criminal Background Check and Drug Test: Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check. 
  • English Level Required: Advanced (conversational English level C1) 
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to pass physical assessment performed by the factory´s doctor. 
  • Documentation: "Título en Ingeniería, Cédula Profesional y Pasaporte". 
  • Experience: Yes, 3 years of work experience in the Dairy Industry and GFSI, FSMA, HACCP y GMP programs

  • From Housing to Worksite: We are looking for housing in the New Ulm area, preferably close to the office so the distance is walkable. This position is expected to travel for work and will need to come with or quickly purchase a vehicle. If housing isn't available in New Ulm, worker can live in Paynesville and work from Paynesville for up to two months.

  • 2-bedroom apartments in Whitehall (10 minutes away) or a 5-bedroom house located 2 blocks from the plant.
  • Shared rooms (2 workers per room).
  • Rent deducted from paycheck:
    • Months 1-3: $200
    • Months 4-6: $290
    • Months 7-9: $460
    • Months 10+: $640
  • Utilities included: Water, gas, trash, electricity.
