Job Description

Duties: 
This position acts as the single point of accountability for delivering large scale, moderate and sometimes system-wide projects on time and on budget; leads innovative projects that make significant changes in the way the enterprise does business; designs and develops approaches to projects, ensuring the strategic directions of projects are in line with business objectives. 
Manages scope and scope change requests. Use established project management methodologies/tools to develop and execute project plans including work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, project scope. 
Plans and directs schedules and budgets. 
Monitors projects form initiation through delivery and monitors for continuous improvement. 
Identifies and develops contingency plans to mitigate and address risks. 
Tracks projects against major milestones and adjust projects as needed. 
Administratively closes out projects. 
Communicates with and influences internal and external stakeholders on key project objectives and steps, to ensure buy-in and to realize benefits . 
Drive IT SOWs with vendors and vendor management / procurement in support of the project, this includes; writing SOWs, refinement and driving them through the process to execution. 
Provide contract requirements support, e.g. NFRs on security, connectivity, DR, back-up, and any other IT specific requirements. 
Understand portfolio management and assist with portfolio process and tools adoption; responsible for keeping project data up-to-date per required deadlines; utilize IT portfolio management and other IT tools as required by IT process and tool standards; ensure that IT standard practices are followed, including: IT change management, enterprise release management, service management and project management. 
Provide required status reporting to support project requirements and portfolio performance dashboards. 
Partners and stays inter-connected with IT teams to efficiently engage roles of the support model. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years cross-functional, cross-disciplinary project management or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
PMP certification or Stanford Certified project manager preferred. 
Experience managing complex projects with multi-month timelines. 
Experience managing organization change and communication issues. 
Substantial knowledge of the key components of project management and software .development (e.g. scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, integration) and associated tools and methodologies . 
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
