Cavaghan & Gray are a member of the 2 Sisters Food Group based in Carlisle in Cumbria.  Specialising in producing ready meals for one of the leading food retailers in the UK.

Main expectations of the post holder are:

• To effectively manage day to day issues on the line / area to ensure optimum operational performance
• To understand and interpret results, and take action to improve performance
• To control the cost of manufacture by operating to the agreed standards of labour utilisation, material utilisation, machine performance and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
• Member of middle management within the Production/Operations function, managing a production line or area in accordance with the line schedule and allocated employees
• Key interactions with all site functions (incl. H &S, Technical, Hygiene, Engineering, HR/L & D and any other support services) to ensure that Production is run safely, efficiently and effectively and to minimise downtime / waste

• IOSH Managing Safely (training will be provided)
• CIEH Level 3 Food Safety for food management (training will be provided)
• 12 months experience of people management is desirable
• 12 months experience of working in a production environment is desirable
