The Quality Engineer, Thailand, will be a key member of the high performing team in Rayong, Thailand. The successful candidate will provide quality assurance support to the production line and ensure the product meets control plans and specifications. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for being the end-to-end expert on measurement techniques, equipment, and data. The role will report to the Quality Team Lead. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Accountable for the quality of incoming materials, subproducts, and products.
• Develop quality inspection tools to support day-to-day production activities.
• Support the development and implementation of quality control plans, including statistical process control (SPC) methods and tools.
• Analyze quality and process capability data using six sigma methodology to identify areas of improvement and drive continuous quality improvement activities.
• Utilize Measurement System Analysis (MSA) on the production measurement devices. Performance devices calibration and Gage R&R.
• Produce cogent and intelligible data visualizations, prepare technical presentations, and summarize high-impact technical findings.
• Conduct weekly audit plant floor, quantify particle count from each process line, and implement cleanliness protocol to uphold contamination control requirements.
• Work cross-functionally with product and process engineers to help resolve supplier quality or design-related issues that occurred during the manufacturing process.
• Lead sustainment of ISO 9100 certification, which may include deploying supporting documents and required resources for internal audit program.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures used in production by the quality technicians.
• Manage non-conforming product via containment and evaluate suspect materials while working closely with internal and external teams to identify disposition and resolve the root cause.

 Required Skills and Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Thai and English languages.
• Lithium-ion or semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred. 
• Certified Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt preferred.
• Experience in creating Control Plan/ Product-Process Specification

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree Scientific or Engineering Discipline  

Physical & Environmental Standards:

• Capable of working in low moisture dry room environment: < 1.0% Relative Humidity (-50°C dew point)
  • Capable of wearing clean room attire when working in dry room environment: face mask, hair net, safety glasses, gloves, coverall suit and shoe covers
  • Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
